Evil Squirrels and Plagues!

This is a call for some help here. Squirrels have been digging up one of my pots, taking plants out, and nibbling on the leaves. I've sprinkled black pepper around and in the pots, but I don't know if that will work. The other problem I have is that my Aeonium "Sunburst" has a bunch of black spots that look like bruising on most of the leaves. Is it too much sun? Is it hail damage from the rain on Sunday? Is it a disease? I've brought it into the shade and I'm really hoping it will recover. Does anyone know what it is?

  1. Oh boy...the aeonium looks kinda bad...I guess I might get it in shade, get the plant out of the pot and wash the soil off and allow the roots to dry completely , and plant again in dry cactus soil for a while. You may have root rot when you get the roots exposed. If that is the case, I'm not sure if you can save it. If you have any healthy leaves, I would get them off and plant them to try and make new plants. Good luck!!!

  2. The weird part is that it went from good looking to bad in a day.

  3. My second visit here to see if anyone has offered any answers. I know hail has done some damage to my succulents but not the same as the above. I hope it recovers.
